January Giveaway with Tantalizing Stitches!{CLOSED}

At the end of 2010 I emailed my favorite shops and authors to ask if they would like to sponsor a Sew Spoiled giveaway. Almost all of them replied with a “Yes!” and El, from Tantalizing Stitches, was first!
She specializes in bag making hardware and supplies! I love looking through her shop. When I see something new I love buying it just to see what new bag I can make with it. Not only does she carry all the hardware you will ever need but 15% of the purchase price of all handmade items and 5% of the purchase price of supplies at most Tantalizing Stitches venues are donated to animal charity.

I've made a few decorative Valentine's items but I'd like to bake something--I'm deciding between red velvet cake balls covered in white chocolate, and red velvet cupcakes with creamy icing and adorable sprinkles.

Our plan? well.... let's just say that the end of basketball season comes first. I'm making fleece scarves for my daughter's team mates. Then, we will concentrate on the "hearty" stuff.
Thanks for the great giveaway!

Although a bit macabre I'm going to try and make an anatomical heart cake for my boyfriend. We have an inside joke about giving someone your 'heart' so I think it will fit well =)

I've joined the Cabrio tote sew along and have my fabrics ready. Just need to post the photos.
I'm making a pair of pink Swarovski crystal earrings in the shape of leaves for a friend for her wedding anniversary which is on 2/22. I am also making her a fabric tote bag in a pink print fabric that is very "girly."

I don't really do anything for Valentine's Day but I make lots of gifts for friends at other times, especially anniversaries.

I can't figure out what to do for her husband, though! Maybe one of my checkbook covers in a fabric featuring something he would like...still thinking on that one!

This year our Valentines are leaning more on the boyish side of life. My son and I will be making bracelets out of twine for his class. We are practicing our knots from our new knot-tying book, and we'll slip a few beads between the really cool knots we'll make.

 After you find an A-line skirt pattern , I am using  One Yard Wonders 101  template . Make a muslin of your skirt! It only takes a few minutes to make a muslin version. Just baste stitch the side seams and make adjustments for your hips. Once your template is right you can make all the skirts your heart desires, so it is important to get the perfect fit first. Sweet Coin Purse Tutorial for Teacher Gifts

This time of year is so special to me because I get to show my gratitude for all of the hard work that goes into teaching my daughters. I love to make handmade gifts and this year is no exception. Since money does not grow on trees around here, I looked at my stash (I keep my scraps in hat boxes ) and tried to see what I had a lot of; small zippers, trims, Peltex strips ( from making iPad cases ), fabric scraps and some hardware for key fobs. So I set to work.  Materials: Plastic multipurpose 5" Zipper  Fabric Scraps Lightweight interfacing 808 Pellon Trims (We clipped  key fobs  with 1.5" swivel hooks onto our coin purses . There are tons of tutorials on making key fobs .) Step 1: Print out the Coin Purse Template  PDF.  Cut 2 main fabric, cut 2 lining and 2 interfacing using the template.  Optional: Cut a 2"X2" square of your choice main fabric or lining. This strip of fabric is used to clip a key fob to your coin purse later. We used a 1.5
